Astrocytoma

Astrocytoma is not just one condition—it’s a group of different types of brain tumours. They can vary a lot in how they behave, the treatments people have, and what life looks like after diagnosis.

Because of this, we’ve organised these stories into groups based on tumour type and grade. This is to help you find experiences that feel more relevant to your own situation.

You may notice different terms used across these stories, such as “diffuse astrocytoma”, “anaplastic astrocytoma”, or “astrocytoma, IDH-mutant”. These reflect changes in how doctors classify brain tumours over time. Many people were diagnosed before these newer terms were introduced, and we’ve kept each story in the words used at the time to respect individual experiences.

Everyone’s journey is unique, but you are not alone. We hope these stories help you feel informed, supported, and understood.
